I Still Hate Wal-Mart

Five months have now passed since my last paid visit to Wal-Mart. Life is good. I found it very easy to distance myself from the monster. Most of the items that I purchased at Wal-Mart are now purchased at the grocery store, K-Mart, Dollar General, or online. It is so nice not to feel rage for being almost forced to shopping at Wal-Mart.

My wife now finds me much easier to shop with since my divorce from Wal-Mart. Taking all three kids to the store is also a much simpler task. All in all I'm glad I made the decision not to shop at Wal-Mart. I am a better man.

Perhaps a few of you will give it a shot as well. Trust me. The withdrawals are not that bad.

The Five Best Vacation Spots in Georgia

Fifth Best Vacation Spot in Georgia- Atlanta

Atlanta is certainly the most visited city in Georgia thanks to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Of course this sprawling capital city has much to offer. Fun activities for families and children include Six Flags Over Georgia, the Georgia Aquarium, and Zoo Atlanta. The artsy crowd will enjoy the High Museum of Art, the Fox Theatre, and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. If live events are what you seek, plenty can be found at the Georgia Dome, Aaron's Amphitheatre at Lakewood, and Philips Arena. Sports fans lace up for the Atlanta Hawks, the Atlanta Braves, the Atlanta Falcons, the Atlanta Thrashers, and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Lastly, make a conscious effort to visit Stone Mountain Park's night time laser show and sneak over to nearby Athens Georgia's Sanford Stadium, the home of the Georgia Bulldogs.

Fourth Best Vacation Spot in Georgia – Lake Oconee

About an hour east of Atlanta rests Lake Oconee, Georgia's best kept secret. Of course Lake Oconee boasts excellent fishing, boating, and water sports. There you will can also enjoy seven of the world's finest golf courses designed by the likes of Jack Nicholas and Ben Crenshaw. Fine dining and world class pampering can be found at the Ritz Carlton Lodge at Reynolds Plantation where several of these golf courses are hidden. This quiet lake community comes alive every year when the entire golf world turns its eyes to Augusta, Georgia for the Masters golf tournament.

Third Best Vacation Spot in Georgia – Cumberland Island

A trip to Cumberland Island is not an event that can be described in words, rather an encounter that must be experienced. First one must board the Cumberland Island Ferry in mainland St. Mary's, Georgia. Once on Cumberland, you will soak in the best unspoiled scenery that nature has to offer. Sprawling, giant live oaks adorned with Spanish moss provide shelter to low lying palmettos. As you move further away from the mainland you will find the ruins of Nathaniel Greene's home and a myriad of wildlife including turkey, deer, and alligators. Further we go and approach undisturbed beaches where wild horses roam. No high rise hotels. Just you and nature the way it was intended. Don't forget to bring food and water for your excursion and camping on the island is available. Once you return to the mainland St. Mary's has everything you need.

Second Best Vacation Spot in Georgia – North Georgia Mountains

North Georgia is decorated with the spirited Blue Ridge Mountains. Visit fantastic shops in fabulous towns like Ellijay, Blue Ridge, Dahlonega, and Helen. Of course there are scenic log cabins everywhere you turn available for rent year round. Here you can also hike the Appalachian Trail which begins in Springer Mountain, Georgia and ends in Mount Katahdin, Main.e. Don't miss Chateau Elan in Braselton, Georgia and experience world class spa treatment, golf, dining, lodging, and winery. One can truly find peace and relaxation in this enchanted region.

The Best Vacation Spot in Georgia - Savannah/ Tybee Island, Georgia

Savannah and Tybee Island, Georgia are a remarkable combination of fun, relaxation, and scenery.
Start your day with a scenic drive out to Tybee Island. Spend the day in the sun on Tybee's beaches and mingle with the very friendly locals. At dusk, stop by the Crab Shack on your way back in. It's “Where the elite eat in their bare feet!”. Once back in Savannah, take stroll down the cobblestoned River Street which houses night clubs, restaurants, and gift shops. There will also be plenty of live music and street performers as you watch the moon gleam on the Savannah River. Make sure you stop at Wet Willie's for a frozen treat. Beauty, atmosphere, and culture make Savannah and Tybee Island the best vacation spot in Georgia.

Ubuntu Linux Running with Windows

You have no doubt heard some of the “I lost everything on my hard drive” stories that have come from feeble attempts to install various flavors of Linux in a dual boot system with Windows. Partitioning hard drives is probably not a good idea for the typical computer user, but the desire to learn more about Linux while keeping the Windows option open is entirely too mouth watering for the eager mind to resist. I have a story or two myself. Here are the basics I have learned about Linux and the best way to learn Linux while preserving ALL of your Windows files, etc.

What is Linux?

Linux simply is a computer operating system similar to Unix that uses the Linux kernel developed by Linus Torvalds. However, it is not quite that simple since Linux is an open source operating system which means that it is free and can be modified to meet the user's needs and renamed to Some New Linux Flavor. Yes, I said free. The hundreds of different variations of Linux are called distros or flavors. Some of the more popular flavors are Fedora, Knoppix, and Ubuntu. Each flavor gains its popularity for one feature or another.

What is so great about Linux?

Didn't you read what I said? It is free! It is stable. Software is free! Free! Not only is the operating system open source, but also most of the software for it. Imagine getting a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation software, email client, dvd creator, web page designer, drawing editor, and anything you can dream of for free! Let's say you want to start designing databases. You would click on the task bar, type “database” in the search box, choose what you want, and click install. Done. Free. No joke. Completely legal. Try that with Windows.

How can I try it without effecting my Windows system?

I thought you'd never ask. You can install Ubuntu Linux with the Wubi Ubuntu Installer for free. Wubi allows you to install Ubuntu just like you would any other program in Windows. No fancy disk partitioning or burning CD's, just run the installer and Ubuntu will be ready to go in a few minutes. The only thing Wubi does to your Windows system is add the extra option to boot into Ubuntu. It can also be easily uninstalled just like any other application in Windows if you don't like it. And once again, it is FREE!

How do I get it?

I asked the same question. I got it here (http://wubi-installer.org/). I am using it now. Free Ubuntu Linux. Free Open Office word processor. Isn't this sweet? You can learn more about Ubuntu here (http://www.ubuntulinux.org/) or at (http://www.ubuntulinux.org/wiki/FrontPage).

That's NOT so scary!

The Wubi installer for Ubuntu is by far the easiest way I have found to experiment and have loads of fun with Linux while preserving my Windows environment and not needing to spend lots of money for an alternate hard drive or separate computer. Try it and have fun!

President Obama: A Puppet at Best!

Obama haters, hold on before you get too excited! It is not the President alone, it is the entire government of the United States of America along with the remainder if the nations in Western society who are puppets for a select, elite group of "entrepreneurs" (no risk involved here) that pull the strings on the "open" markets.

Who are these people? I knew you would ask.

THE TEN MEMBER BANKS OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE

( All owned by the Rothschilds )

Rothschild Bank of London
Warburg Bank of Hamburg
Rothschild Bank of Berlin
Lehman Brothers of New York
Lazard Brothers of Paris
Kuhn Loeb Bank of New York
Israel Moses Seif Banks of Italy
Goldman, Sachs of New York
Warburg Bank of Amsterdam
Chase Manhattan Bank of New York

So now you ask, "Who are the Rothschilds?"

They are the descendants of Baron Mayer Amschel Rothschild.

His famous quote is "Give me control of a nation's currency, and I care not who makes its laws".

The FED (The Rothschilds) have the power to create currency and set its value. Our politicians are there minions.

The U.S. will always have an increasing national debt because that is how they make their billions.

They own Western Society.

President Kennedy was assassinated for cutting out their profits. (estimated at $4 billion at the time).

Our decisions in Washington are made with their best interests in mind!

Don't take my word for this. Do your own research. Follow the money!!! It will lead you to the root of the problem every time!

Last, don't hate President Obama for this. He has no control over it. And, remember that you are their puppet, too!

That's it! I'm done!

Wal-Mart Sucks!

Wal-Mart Sucks! That is what everyone says. Yet, we still spend our money there.

Not me. Not anymore. I have been off of the Wally World Wagon for a few weeks now. Oh, it is so liberating!

Amazon.com is great. It is cheaper than Wal-Mart on most things and I spend $0 driving to the store.

I now shop at stores like Ace Hardware, Ingles, Dollar General, and Academy Sports. I spend a little bit more money, but the employees at these stores are paid decent wages, pay taxes, and generally contribute to society. They also are exponentially less likely to receive aid from my tax dollars. Wal-Mart? The complete opposite.

These people also know something about the products that they sell. They can even help me find things on the shelf. Most Wal-Mart employees cannot spell the word shelf.

One final thought...If you don't like it, don't support it. You don't have to. Try Target, Kroger, K-Mart, anything. Stop supporting the monster! One day they will force your local government to exercise its powers of eminent domain to steal your land!

That's it! I'm done!

None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.

Free. What does that mean, exactly? Can I do whatever I want whenever I want? NO. I would go to jail for that.

Can I speak out against our government in a negative way? Yes I could, but...they could say that I am an unlawful enemy combatant or a terrorist which would immediately release from me my writ of habeus corpus and my right to a fair trial by a jury of my peers! - Then I would spend the rest of my life in Gitmo with no right to prove that I wasn't cool with the Taliban, but at least I would have good health care.

So what is freedom? What does "free" mean in America? It means that we are not slaves. At least not according to the connotation of the word. It is my contention, however, that most of us are slaves...slaves to capital...slaves to the almighty dollar...slaves to the Federal Reserve Bank of the United States of America. That is exclusive, of course, of those folks who paid cash for a double wide that was set up on Pappy's land, paid cash for a beat up pickup truck, and spend wads of cash every weekend traveling, partying, and rooting for their favorite teams. These people are free and have money to live when they are not making a living because they didn't waste hundreds of thousands of dollars in interest to finance "the American Dream".

I guess I am cynical to some extent. Maybe I should just shut up. If I wrote something like this in Pakistan, they would relieve me of my genitals.

But seriously, the Land of the FREE? It's really more like the Land of the not violently beaten and oppressed, or if you prefer...the Land of the not enslaved.

None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.
- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
